In-Sight Explorer Wafer ID version 4.5.0 is the first release of software and firmware that supports the new In-Sight 1740 Series wafer readers. Included in wafer ID version 4.5.0 are several enhancements for improved reading performance and easier setup and operation of both In-Sight 1720 and 1740 Series wafer readers:

• Automatic image enhancement filter creation and optimization during tuning

• Automatic mark color detection

• T7 Data Matrix code reading improvements

• Read SEMI M1.15 marks using one Config

• QR Code support

• More compact user interface, optimized for smaller displays

• On-screen focusing assistant

• Display read time on screen and output read time to a log file

• Support for external and expansion lights (1740 Series-only)

• Plus many fixes for issues reported in wafer ID 4.2.4 and earlier versions. After installing, read the Cognex Wafer ID 4.5.0, read the Release Notes for a complete list of changes and fixes contained in this release.

NOTE:

• The standard In-Sight Explorer 4.5.0 Software release for general purpose In-Sight vision systems does not contain the firmware and user interface files required by 1720 Series and 1740 Series wafer readers. If you already have In-Sight Explorer 4.5.0 installed on your PC, you must also install In-Sight Explorer Wafer ID 4.5.0 in order to use 1720 Series and 1740 Series wafer readers.
